It's pretty hot for April

Thought I should record the heat we've been having lately.  Today it hit 91 (Farenheit of course).  Here is the view from the top of the hill.

This year we have had very dry weather starting in January.  Record dry actually.  The temperatures have not been unreasonably warm until just recently.  I started biking the hill in Autumn 2009.  That first winter, 2010 it was alot foggier and and rainier than any of the subsequent winters.  Notice in 2010 I'm wearing tights and a jacket, whereas in 2012, Ted is shirtless.  I can assure you we went shirtless on our ride up the hill today!

Ted Gets His Black Belt

Yesterday Ted passed his black belt test.  I had a vague memory that I had posted about his brown belt test and sure enough, after searching my blog on the word karate I found the link.  So he has been working on advancing to the black belt level for 4 years and a month, almost to the day, since his brown belt test.  I didn't go to this test.  But I did drive into Fairfield and meet him for lunch.
In other news, F is moving to Cambridge!  We drove in to Sac last night for the last F and D concert.  It marks the end of an era for us.  She will be moving home in May to save money on rent, which they can put towards the move.

My snowpeas are planted and coming up, and my seedlings are planted in cups and getting big.  I've added a short walk to my morning schedule and Lumosity training.  Need to get back to writing up our cross country trip to Wisconsin because I have another one planned.
